Lemon Meringue in a Glass π
It’s thirsty Thursday friends, time for some cocktails. This drink is inspired by one of my favorite local spots, Sonny’s Tavern. They make incredible cocktails and their food is pretty delicious π too.
I’m pretty sure I don’t make the drink as well as Sonny’s Tavern, but my rendition is still very much a lemon meringue and is very drinkable π If you like the pie and tart drinks, this is for you.
Here’s what you need to create this *cocktail:
- *1 Cocktail Glass
- Shaker
- Jigger
- Lemon Squeezer
- Ice
- Gin
- 1 Lemon
- Vanilla Liqueur
- 1 Egg
First, add some ice to you’re shaker. Next add 2oz of Gin. We use Bombay Sapphire in this cocktail because their botanics pair well with the lemon. I then add 1.5oz of Vanilla Liqueur. Now the juices from half a lemon, this is about 1.5oz. Finally add an egg white to the shaker, no yolkπ₯
Now get your shake on, shake, shake, shake!! You want to create a foam with the egg white.
Meanwhile, add an ice cube to your cocktail glass. We have fabulous square ice cubes (because we take our cocktails seriously π), but any form of ice will do. Empty the shaker contents into the glass and enjoyπΈ, cheers!
*This cocktail easily doubles, but I wouldn’t add another egg white because one is definitely enough to create the foam for twoβοΈ
