Brunch at the Dover Brickhouse
Brunch on the weekend is a delicious way to kick-off the day and today we visited the Dover Brickhouse in Dover, NH. One of the reasons I love brunch in a restaurant is the excuse to have an adult beverage like a Bloody Mary, Mimosa or Bellini. I’m certainly a fan of 🍾 bubbles at brunch, but today I went with a Bloody Mary!

I love when a Bloody Mary is garnished with antipasto stick and has a great kick. This is one of those with fire, jalapeno infused tequila, and deliciousness! The one drawback is $7 for their Bloody Mary and it goes down way too easy 😉
It was packed in the Dover Brickhouse, which is great since Dover has lots of brunch options to choose from. Their menu has a few standouts and they also have weekly specials; which I should captured, but I believe the specials featured Scotch Eggs, Cajun Pork Belly Benny and Marinated Steak & Eggs.

I went with the Breakfast Nachos because it intrigued me and was good, but not as guilty as I was hoping for because the side of hollandaise never arrived and it definitely needed that extra goodness!

David went with Biscuits & Gravy and I tried the Sausage Gravy and it was great with a heavy sage flavor which I love!

My brother and my sister in-law also joined us. My brother got the Breakfast Burrito and seemed pleased and my sister in-law got the Cali Benny with over poached eggs ☹️ That miss step always puzzles me and I do get it because plates tend to sit under heat lamps, but if you’re getting poached eggs, you need to serve them runny.
It was fun getting out for brunch on this beautiful spring day and it’s never a bad idea starting a Sunday with a delicious Bloody Mary! Local friends, where’s your favorite brunch spot?
