Taco Tuesday with Homemade Taco Seasoning

It’s Taco Tuesday and since we have ground beef in our fridge, it’s Ground Beef Tacos for this Taco Tuesday! I LOVE TACOS and boy have I featured some delicious tacos on this site; Korean Short Rib Tacos, Tacos Al Pastor, Chorizo & Potato Tacos and I NEED TO GET MY CARNITAS STREET TACOS ON THIS BLOG (check out my Carnitas here)!

But tonight it’s simple Ground Beef Tacos since it’s a work night and I have tomatoes and cilantro that should be used. I often think the most delicious tacos can be those with a few simple classic ingredients and tonight is definitely that case; ground beef, homemade taco seasoning, shredded cheese, cilantro, tomato, and a sriracha lime cream.

I started by browning my ground beef with some red onion and my homemade taco seasoning, 2TBSP.

I think one of the secrets to a great taco is a grilled tortilla. If you have a gas stove, this is easy peasy. If you don’t, fire up your grill! Trust me, it’s worth it!

Now time for building the tacos, I start with the cheese at the base of tortilla because I want it to melt under the warm ground beef. I then add my veggies and top with the *sriracha lime cream.

Cheers!
