Garlic & Herb Compound Butter
Compound butters are easy to create and add a little extra to your holiday meal π. This Garlic & Herb butter is flavorful and delivers freshness and has been featured in many of my posts:

What I love about a compound butter is that it concentrates flavors and delivers that added punch of deliciousness and complexity to a dish π.

I like having a compound butter on hand, especially during the holidays, because it compliments poultry and meat, potatoes, vegetables and fresh bread.

You can add many herbs and allium to compound butter to deliver freshness:
- Parsley
- Basil
- Tarragon
- Chives
- Shallot
I’ve also been known to add lemon juice and lemon zest to add brightness and citrus notes.

Garlic & Herb Compound Butter
Ingredients
- 1 stick butter (check out my post on creating butter from scratch), at room temperature
- 4-5 cloves garlic
- Couple springs thyme
- Couple springs rosemary
- EVOO
- Pinch salt & pepper
